Fort Recovery Area Chamber of Commerce

Regular Meeting

April 25, 2016

 

The Fort Recovery Chamber of Commerce met in regular session on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Theinmans.

 

Members Present: Ted Romer, PG Jellison, Joe Faller, Connor Rammel, Megan Steinberg & Sandy Keller.

 

The meeting was called to order by President, Ted Romer.

 

Grace before meal was given by Ted Romer.

 

Secretary Report: A motion was made by PG Jellison to approve the minutes of the March meeting; seconded by Sandy Keller.

 

 

Treasurer’s Report: A treasurer’s report was not available this month.  Tabled for the May meeting.

 

 

New Business:

225 Committee: The Chamber has volunteered to help with the picnic tables and stage for the beard contest. Jared Ebbing is helping the Chamber with organizing the local business tours for Business and Industry Day. JR Manufacturing, FR Industries, J&M & Buckey Design will be allowing tours. There will be 15 people per group allotted for touring the businesses. These groups will start at noon and will run every hour in hopes of spending 20-30 minutes per location. Tours will conclude by 5 p.m. for the Taste of Fort Recovery. Individuals wanting to go on tours will need to register in advance for available seating. Tours will also take place Downtown and at the Opera House.

 

Businesses in downtown are asked to dress up every Friday leading up to the Jubilee and the entire week of the Jubilee.

 

Chamber: The Chamber has appointed a new Vice President, Connor Rammel. A motion was made to approve the new Vice President by PG Jellison and seconded by Sandy Keller.

 

Community Foundation: May 4th the Distribution Committee will announce the distributions.

 

Merchants Association: May 6th the merchants will be holding the annual Cruise In 7-10p.m. The Circus comes to Fort Recovery May 17th.

 

With no other business, Connor Rammel made a motion to adjourn.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for May 23, 2016 @Theinmans.
