The Fort Recovery Chamber of Commerce met in regular session on September 26, 2023 at Brickstreet
Members Present: PG Jellison, Larry Brown, Shawn Robinson, Ted Romer, Thomas Shaw, Amy Wendel, Sue Heiser
Secretary Report: Ted made a motion to approve the previous month meeting minutes, seconded by Sue
Treasurers Report: Checking account beginning balance 4,606.80. Disbursements totaling 220.00 receipts totaling 153.00 with an ending balance of $4,536.80. Cash on hand is $5.00 and the Fort Recovery Scholarship Fund is $8,371.38 for a grand total of $13,259.73. Ted made a motion to approve, seconded by Shawn

Old Business: Tobe’s Carryout ribbon cutting happened today at 1:30 p.m. Congratulations to Chad and Jenna Tobe! There will be a facebook posting, feel free to like and share!
New Business: Present members agreed to advertise in the “Christmas in the Fort” on WCSM for $90; Shawn motioned, Larry seconded

  • Chambers (Eric) is posting a Member Spotlight (every Sunday) on the Chambers Facebook page, please like and share!
    Village:
    School: BAC – County-wide Business Advisory Committee got together a second time, it seems to be a positive county group
  • The Fort Recovery Middle School was awarded the Blue Ribbon School Award; there will be more celebration in November
  • Also received a 4.5 star on the Report card.
    Merchants: making decisions about the placement of the Santa House.
  • Historical Society & Project Recovery: One of a Kind Auction – October 22nd, The tickets are available at the Banks and Insurance Agency.
    Community Foundation: Solicitation letter will be mailed out soon.
    OTHER news: Fall Cruise in October 7th
