The Fort Recovery Chamber of Commerce met in regular session on August 29th, 2023 at Brickstreet
Members Present: PG Jellison, Larry Brown, Eric Brackman, Shawn Robinson, Ted Romer, Thomas Shaw, Maddie Heistand, Erin Moreno, Amy Wendel
Secretary Report: Eric made a motion to approve the previous month meeting minutes, seconded by Ted
Treasurers Report: Checking account beginning balance $6,226.80. Disbursements totaling 2220.00 receipts totaling $600.00 with an ending balance of $4,606.80. Cash on hand is $5.00 and the Fort Recovery Scholarship
Fund is $8,371.38 for a grand total of $12,983.18. Larry made a motion to approve, seconded by Shawn
Chamber – Muhlenkamp and Associates had pointed out a mistake in our past few tax returns. We went back and paid what we needed to “Catch up”

New Business: Tobe’s Carryout Ribbon Cutting, TBD, they will let us know when
Village:
School: Joe Bruns passing, want to thank the community for all the support.

District appreciates all the WOW committee’s and volunteers hard work and dedication.

Tony is going to be working on the job shadow interested businesses, look for Lindsey Reinhard to reach
out about this.
Merchants:
Jubilee: The proceeds were just under $50,000 this year, putting this years Jubilee at almost the exact same as last
years. This year some additional money was spent to upgrade a few things and have a few new
events/entertainments. All proceeds have been distributed.
Ambassadors: Successful pull weekend.
Athletic Boosters:
WOW: Everyone that had gone to the WOW that was at the meeting said it was a good time and looked to be very
successful!
Historical Society & Project Recovery: One of a Kind Auction – October 22nd
Community Foundation: Next meeting September 12th

OTHER news: Fall Cruise in will be coming up in October.
